Smith Hill Productions generally works with a three-person team: Janet Boynton serves as director and interviewer; and a professional cameraman and a sound engineer provide the technical support. We use only high quality professional video cameras and can shoot in 4:3, 16:9 Standard Digital (SD) or High Definition (HD) to suit our client's requirements. Still photographs are shot using a Nikon D-300.
Programs are edited on an Apple MAC Pro with with two terabytes storage capacity using the latest Media 100 HDe Version 13.0 non-linear editing software. This system allows us to capture images at low or compressed resolution, edit and apply effects in real time, and then recapture and conform at high resolution. This gives us the capacity to record up to 20 hours of original material and then edit this to an appropriate viewable program without any loss of quality.
We can provide the finished product in either HD or SD format on DVD disks. We supply web movies in either quicktime MOV format or flash FLV files with the Sorenson Squeeze codec for streaming over the web |
