Hob's Odyssey

This program was one of the most moving and rewarding projects we have ever undertaken. It was put together over a year's time, which happened to be the last year of the subject's life. We were fortunate to have access to the family's extensive collection of photographs and to a home video that had been taken several years earlier by a friend. An extraordinary group of family members and friends spoke with humor and candor about their relationship with the subject. These interviews were all shot in the client's home and additional footage was taken in various other locations. The narration was written by the subject's wife and recorded in a sound studio. The musical pieces were ones that had special meaning to the subject and his family.

This interview clip with a friend points out how highly esteemed Hob was. Another friend of the subject taped him on his home video camera a number of years before this program was produced. Here Hob talks about his spiritual beliefs. We often include home movies as well as still photographs in our biographies.

This clip combines narration with scenes that we shot at the family's home in Vermont, old photographs and interviews with the subject's wife and son.
