What a beautiful, meaningful and professional documentary you have created.  The photography and the voice recordings were excellent.  We arrived fifteen minutes early at the auditorium and were lucky to find seats.  This was the most well-attended event of 2000 in town. 

This video should be shown on trans-Atlantic flights instead of the drivel they usually show, or at least on PBS.  It’s terrific! What you have done is amazing.

I was just thrilled.  The highest compliment for the program was the complete silence at the end … and then the burst of applause. 

What a marvelous job you did in making the “Townies” film we saw this afternoon.  It was terrific.  Every scene, every interview, every photograph was portrayed with sensitivity and great technical skill.  Wow!  This was a stroke of genius, typical of all your work.

I decided to write rather than call – it means more since I don’t write letters to anyone any more.  Thank you, thank you for the copy of your video.  Tom and I watched it Valentines night.  It was so full of love, theirs for the land and yours for doing this delectably.  I absolutely loved it and more than once Tom had to wipe tears from his eyes (he is his mother’s son).

Your new title as “miracle worker” is well known among all who are associated with The Freedom Trail Foundation.  Thank you for producing that beautiful, emotional and extraordinary video in such short order.  I’m so happy you were there to see for yourself the powerful impact it had on our audience – and to hear for yourself the many laudatory comments that I knew would follow its presentation. 

I want to say that your video “Hob’s Odyssey” was totally amazing.  I was really moved.  But also there was a part of me which could think about the technical aspects of what you had done.  I was struck by the meticulously accurate focusing – speakers in the foreground perfectly focused, but the background objects (often a vase of fresh flowers and a painting bathed in soft indirect light) slightly out of focus.  Voices would sometimes begin before the speaker came on screen (very effective).  It was clear that you as the interviewer had brought out the best in each person.

The video continues to be a wonderful way for us to deliver our message and I thank you for making such a moving piece for us.
